Meet Our Staff

Rev. Jason Schiller is an ordained Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church USA, and Senior Pastor at Community Presbyterian Church since April 2021. He is passionate about making church a place to ask questions, express doubts, and explore faith honestly. He works to make sure church is a place of belonging, authenticity, meaning, and purpose. He loves sharing a meal and conversation with others. He is married to Erin and father to Elsa and Abram. They enjoy hiking together and spending time outdoors. Jason is a trained Chaplain and served in Intensive Care, Hospice, and Addiction Recovery Units.

Darcy Reich has been a resident of Grand Rapids for the past 46 years. She taught in the Grand Rapids school district for 34 years, primarily at Cohasset and Murphy Elementary Schools. She has been a member of the staff of Community Presbyterian Church for 45 years, playing for the worship services and directing the handbell choirs. She is a member of American Guild of Organists, Choristers Guild and Handbell Musicians of America. Since retirement from teaching, Darcy has enjoyed spending time playing the piano at area schools, volunteering for a number of organizations, creating counted cross stitch baby bibs and reading the many books that accumulate on her shelves.

Sam Evans directs the Chancel Choir at CPC. He has a degree in music education from Concordia College, Moorhead. He owns Evans Insurance Agency and lives north of Grand Rapids with his wife Lenora and their two sons.

Becky was born and raised in Grand Rapids and grew up playing handbells and singing at CPC. After being away from the area for over 20 years, she moved back with her husband and two children. 

Lisa and her family have been active members for over 10 years. Lisa loves adventures and her favorite place to hike is the Fairyland Loop at Bryce Canyon National Park (pictured above).
